Xavega is a network of drag
fishing that is destined to the coastal fishing in Portugal. The boat composed by a crew of between five and eight men, who kill between March and October, leaves the beach pushed by tractors and returns to the same one after releasing the networks. There whole families of fishermen throw of them to gather the fish that later is sold in small positions in the streets of some towns, like Torreira or Mira. |
