The Holy Bath
in the north of Portugal. This romería includes the ritual of Baño
Santo, a bath of sea, that according to the tradition cures the
ailments and causes that the children are stronger and healthy. The
small ones are submerged under three consecutive waves of the Atlantic
by several people, who carry out the ritual, or by their own parents.
